Colombian coffees get a bad reputation for being predictable — this one isn't. It's got real complexity without being fussy about it, and that citrus brightness keeps it from ever feeling heavy. If you drink your coffee black and actually pay attention to what's in the cup, this is the one.

In the cup: Hot, it leans dark — bitter cocoa and toasted hazelnut with a dry finish. As it cools, blood orange comes forward and the brown sugar underneath gets sweeter, cleaner. By the time it's lukewarm, you've got a different cup than the one you poured.
Best for: Black coffee drinkers who want something with character but not attitude. Great morning coffee — substantial enough to wake you up, smooth enough to drink at a normal pace. Works just as well on a slow Saturday as a rushed Tuesday.
Brew tip: Medium-coarse grind in a pour-over or French press gets the most out of the tasting notes — go too fine and the acidity spikes. Water around 200°F and don't rush the bloom.
