Bali in a pod — and it actually delivers. The brew comes out dark, heavy, and low-acid enough that your stomach won't complain, even black. If you want something with weight and character instead of just caffeine, this is it.

In the cup: For a medium-dark, the bitterness is almost missing — what you get instead is dry dark chocolate and a quiet thread of black licorice that never turns sharp. The smoky, earthy middle is distinctly Balinese, but it stays grounded rather than aggressive. It finishes long and warm, closer to toasted clove than the charred edge most dark roasts leave sitting on your tongue.
Best for: People who drink their coffee black or close to it. Ideal for slow mornings when you actually want to taste what's in your mug, not just wake up.
Brew tip: Pull it on the smallest cup setting your machine allows — 6 oz is ideal. Going larger washes out that earthy depth and you'll lose the finish entirely.
